Chili Dinner

Virginia Tech Agronomy Club is holding it's annual Chili Dinner on Thursday Feb. 23rd, in the Litton Reaves Study Lounge. It is an all-you-can-eat chili buffet with all the fixings, corn bread, sweet tea and soda for just $5.00 a person! This is a great way to support one of VT's oldest academic programs. Bring all of your friends!

Conference and Guest Services is looking for energetic and friendly students to work during the summer when many conferences and camps are held at the university. Candidates must have strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills, and must be able to provide top-notch customer service to the more than 15,000 guests who visit campus for these events each summer.

The following positions are available:

  • Conference aides,
  • Hospitality desk attendants,
  • Hospitality desk assistant manager,
  • Set-up crew member, and
  • Crew assistant manager.

Announcement for Student Organizations

New Student Programs, an area in the Dean of Students Office, is now accepting applications for the 2012 Transfer Orientation Guide (TOG) position. TOGs will assist us with the "Getting on Track" transfer orientation program by helping new transfer students and their families transition into the Hokie community. Organization Funds Program

If you are a member of a Registered Student Organization (RSO) working on a project that will have an impact on our community, you could be awarded up to $1000 to help make your idea a reality. CSECP is looking for projects that show impact, sustainability, and fulfill the "Ut Prosim" mission. Please see the following links for more information and the application. Social Entrepreneurship Student Grant Program

You could be awarded up to $1000 to help fund your project through CSECP's Social Entrepreneurship Student Grant Program. Travel

If you are presenting on a civic engagement-related topic, research, or project at a professional or academic conference, apply for CSECP's Conference Travel Funds Program. You could be awarded up to $500 to fund your travel and conference costs. CSECP is looking to fund presentations that promote the scholarship of engagement through research and/or practice.
